2. INTRODUCTION • GERMANY invaded Poland in 1939 so Great Britain andother Allied forces went to fight back. In 1939 Britain declared war with Germany because Adolf Hitler, who was the German leader, wanted to take over other Countries. World War 2 started in 1939 to 1945. .

3. Evacuees • Evacuees, who lived in the cities ,had to be evacuated to the country side by train. They had to been looked after a for a few happy or sad months. When they were in the country side it was a new world to them because their were animals that they might not know.

4. THE NAZIS • Adolf Hitler was a greedy, selfish leader, who wanted to rule other countries so he stormed into Poland with Japan and Italy. If you weren’t as he wanted , he would kill you . He hated the Jews .

5. Rationing • Rationing was invented so that people would get the same amount of food. Because we couldn’t get food from other countries, we had to be careful with the food we had in our country . Dig for Victory was put around the country alot because if you had any space you could grow food in your garden. They rationed milk and powded egg.

6. Blackout There were lights on fields so that the Germans would waste their bombs . They covered there windows with black material so the Germens would not drop a bomb on there houses . They covered the signs as well in black so the Germans didn’t no where to go.
