  1. 8 Top Tips To Quickly Dry Out Your Wet Gear If you are like me, then you live in an area where it rains with alarming regularity and your outdoor gear is constantly wet. Does it seem like the only answer is to buy a new jacket (or pants, or boots)? Fear not! There are ways to dry out your gear quickly and keep it on until the next rainstorm comes. This article will go through some of the top tips I've found that make drying out wet gear as fast as possible. What Is The Problem? If you've ever gone for a hike or a swim and had to change into wet clothes afterward, you know how unpleasant it can be. Not only are wet clothes uncomfortable to wear, but they can also make you cold and clammy. Wet gear can also be a problem if you're trying to pack light. Wet clothes take up more space and weight than dry clothes, so it's worth taking the time to dry them out before you put them away. So, what's the best way to dry out your wet gear? If you're caught in the rain and your gear gets soaked, don't despair! There are a few things you can do to dry out your gear as quickly as possible. 1. Hang Your Wet Gear In The Sun First, if you have a wet tent, take it down and spread it out in the sun. If it's a sunny day, the heat will help to speed up the drying process. You can also put the wet gear on a clothesline or drying rack to air dry. The sun's rays will help to evaporate the water from your clothes. If you're trying to dry out

  2. clothing, remove any wet layers and hang them up to dry. Again, the sun will help to speed up the drying process. 2. Put Your Wet Gear Near A Heat Source A fire, radiator, or even a hair dryer will help to speed up the drying process. You can also put the wet clothing in front of a fan to help circulate the air and speed up the drying time. If you have one handy, a dehumidifier will help to remove moisture from the air, which will in turn speed up the drying process of your wet gear. Sometimes, we need to quickly dry our gear and in this situation, our heat sources fail. Then you need to invest in the best boot dryer to instantly dry out your gear. 3. Use Absorbent Materials If you have any wet shoes or boots, stuff them with newspaper to help absorb the moisture. Then set them in front of a fan or heater to dry out. Dry towels or even baby powder can help to soak up moisture from your wet gear. 4. Make A Wet Gear Drying Rack If you're caught in the rain with wet gear, don't fret! There are a few things you can do to quicken the drying process. One way is to invest in or make a wet gear drying rack. This will allow airflow to circulate your wet gear and speed up the drying process. You can find instructions online or at your local hardware store on how to make one. Another way to dry out your wet gear is to use a hair dryer on the low setting. Be sure to hold the hairdryer about 6 inches away from your gear so you don't damage it. Finally, if you're really in a bind, you can always lay your wet gear out in the sun. Just be sure to turn it over periodically so it dries evenly!

  3. 5. Use A Fan If you're caught in the rain and don't have access to a clothes dryer, using a fan is a great way to speed up the drying process. Place your wet clothing on a flat surface, such as a table or floor, and point the fan toward the wet areas. The air movement will help to evaporate the moisture more quickly. If you have multiple items of wet clothing, make sure to rotate them so that each item gets some time in front of the fan. 6. Hang Your Clothes Outside If you're lucky enough to have nice weather, take advantage of it and hang your clothes outside to dry. The sun and fresh air will work wonders on wet gear, and you'll get your clothes dry in no time. Just be sure to keep an eye on them so they don't blow away or get stolen! 7. Put Clothes In The Dryer If you have a clothes dryer, put your wet gear in there to help speed up the drying process. If your gear is still dripping wet, put it on a low setting and check on it periodically to make sure it's not over-drying. You can also put a towel in with your gear to help absorb some of the moisture. You can also use new technology portable glove dryer to quickly dry out your gloves. 8. Hang On A Towel Rack If you're lucky enough to have a towel rack in your bathroom, take advantage of it! Wet gear can be quickly hung up on a towel rack to dry. This is especially effective for things like bathing suits and towels.
