  3. Example not in 3.8 • The cartoons we watched alluded to OMAM in many ways. One way was they had characters that were like Lennie. They also had characters like George. They took things right from the book. There were lots of ways they were alike.

  4. Revised for 3.8 • The cartoons we watched alluded to OMAM in many ways. One way was they had characters that were like Lennie. These characters were all physically large and mentally slow, but always had good intentions. They also had characters like George. These smaller characters were short tempered and the brains of their operations. The cartoons took things right from the book. Some lines and references came directly from the novel, like when George said to Bennie “you’ve got to stop doing stupid things like you’re always doing.” There were lots of ways they were alike

  5. Your task • In a 3.8 paragraph, explain whether you think George’s choice at the end of the novel was one of compassion or one of cruelty. • YOU MUST WRITE THIS IN 3.8 FORMAT!!!
