Aboutmy job I work at The National Board of Social Services Part of The Ministry of Children, Gender Equality, Integration and Social Affairs I work here in Odense – but we have offices in Copenhagen and a small office in Esbjerg My job title is ’specialkonsulent’ (’specialadvisor’) I beganworkingtherefebruary 1st, 2012

Despite 80 years of state sponsored social services and 60 years of welfare state services, social problems have not diminished significantly A ‘mega trend’ away from value based social services and towards knowledge/evidence based social services A clear political demand for services that ‘work’ Inherent in the structural reform of 2007 a risk of de-specialization within the social services
