2. HISTORY • Southern cross mental health services was founded by William Dale Hudson Sr. With 3 outpatient facilities opened in 2007, Southern Cross is currently one of the fastest growing mental health facilities in NC. Southern Cross also owns and operates level III therapeutic homes for adolescents.

4. MY DUTIES • Setting of a level III group home for adolescents ages 14 – 18, females only. • Case management with supervision. • Observation of Group therapy. • Observation of Individual therapy. • Observation of Assessments. • Observation of interdisciplinary meetings.

5. RECOMMENDATION • Southern Cross has been a wonderful experience for me. I have learned so much about this field that I never would have learned otherwise. A true hands-on approach has been a great learning situation for me. The staff is very knowledgeable and very helpful. I would highly recommend a practicum at this site for anyone that enjoys working with children and diverse situations of counselling groups and individual.
