  2. Introduction • What is the most confusing time in a student’s life? Well, there can be many, but the time of admissions, when they have to choose between the hundreds of options being offered for courses after 12th, the admission season, can be a really tough time. But, a little guidance and counselling can take the student a long way.

  3. How to choose Depending upon what you had in mind and what stream you had in class 11th and 12th – PCM, PCMB, Commerce, or Arts – will help decide the course you must opt for now. The stream should be your area of interest, so you can go further with a career that interests you and has the potential to bring out the best of your abilities.

  4. Options After Science • Students, who take up the science stream, often go for engineering courses after 12th. However there are several other options, some including: • Medical (MBBS, BDS, Physiotherapy) • Management (Marketing, Finance, HR) • Science (B.Sc., BCA, Biotechnology)

  5. Options After Commerce • There are several options available for commerce students. However, the below mentioned courses are typically chosen by most students. Students who wish to take up commerce courses after 12th opt for: • Chartered Accountant (CA) • Company Secretary (CS)

  6. Options After Humanities • Humanities is often underrated and underestimated in terms of offering good career opportunities. However, unlike the perception, students who look for courses after 12thHumanities, often go for: • Law • Multimedia • Hotel Management • Aviation • Mass Communication

Most popular professional options • While these were a few selected, typical options that most students opt for after they clear their class 12th in India, there are no restrictions to professional courses, and students from different streams can apply for them.
