  2. Introduction The main dilemma that most of the candidates face after completing BCA is whether they should opt for an MBA or an MCA course. While MBA prepares a person for leadership, managerial and administration roles, MCA equips a professional to take up positions wherein they will be able to lead a team to manage the IT infrastructure of a company.   3. Time required to complete MCA and MBA Both are post-graduation degree courses but the time frame required to complete the courses are different. While it takes around 3 years to complete MCA, MBA can be completed within 2 years.

  4. Eligibility Criteria In order to do MCA, the candidate needs to complete a bachelor’s degree in statistics or mathematics. Also candidates who have completed BCA can apply for MCA. On the other hand, in case of MBA, the candidate needs to complete graduation in any stream.

  5. The scope of MBA and MCA? MCA equips students with advanced technical skills in database management, computer networks, algorithm design, software development and latest programming languages. While MBA makes future managers, people who can lead teams, manage the human resource, manage the financial structure as well as operations of a company.
