  1. Building clear consistency throughout the school PB4L

  2. First thing.... • ALL teachers MUST explicitly teach these procedures and routines • No matter how long you have been here • No matter how good you think your kids are

  3. Second thing... • ALL staff members need to be aware of these procedures and routines • That means ALL of us • The only way to be consistent is for ALL of us to follow the procedures and routines correctly

  4. Third thing... • The PB4L team will be working with team leaders to ensure procedures and routines are being taught, modelled, and monitored by providing any support and guidance that we can • Let us know what's working and not working.......

  5. Getting started • Inside the classroom • At the actual location (timetabled) • In classes, houses, year groups....

  6. In the classroom • Uniform • Classroom • Wet lunch and break times • Bells • Transitions (walking around)

  7. On location... • Canteen • Astroturf • Basketball courts • Superloos • Assembly (gym time) • Scooter area

  8. Teaching them • ONLY PRACTISE THE ‘CORRECT’ WAY!! • Discussions • Modelling • Role play (drama) • Video tutorials • Handwriting • PB4L wall (take it away Amy!) • Practise, practise, practise • Repetition is the mother of skill

  9. So, how often? • Start of the year is KEY (let's start it right) • Revisit any procedures or routines that become an issue in your class or house • Address areas that are identified by data • Again at the start of each term

  10. Missed something? • I will email this PowerPoint to your team leaders or you can email me and ask for a copy
