  8. The Troubled Teen Guide site provides various information for parents who are considering placing their child in an alternative school program, boot camp, or other out of home program. Unfortunately some children do not gain benefit of services that can be provided at home and parents are left with no other choice. It is our responsibility as counselors to support the families in their choice as well as provide them with any information that may be helpful in making that decision Of the sites provided, various have a benefit that can serve the counselor, teachers, and parents the same. Having this information at hand could prove to help address more issues together rather than on individual basis. • http://www.troubledteensguide.com/. • Click HERE for virtual tour of website TAKING NOTES DOC.docx

  9. SEXetc is a site in which touches on all topics regarding to sexuality. This is a hard topic for some teens to talk to adults about; however, it is crucial to their developmental and social well being that they are provided with accurate information about their bodies, contraception, and other topics regarding sex. • http://sexetc.org/. 10. Conclusion As school counselors we are going to be faced with children facing different dilemmas in their lives. It is our responsibility as professionals to help our children live happy, healthy, productive lives. Remember…..IT IS EASIER TO BUILD STRONG CHILDREN THAN IT IS TO REPAIR BROKEN MEN…. ~Frederick Douglas
