  2. What is tonight about? • What’s happening at Melksham House? • When are we moving to Dunch Lane? • How are discussions with the Council going? • What is happening within the club? • What can we all do to help?

  3. What’s happening at Melksham House? • Council owned since 3 October 2011 • Will become the new Melksham Campus • Swimming pool, Youth centre, Library … • Planning process starts in April • We anticipate being here with full services until the end of this year

  4. When are we moving to Dunch Lane? • Club will own freehold to the North Playing Fields • Council will provide a budget for the club to spend on new facilities • Council will ensure all necessary planning permissions are provided • Proposal submitted for a pitch, changing rooms and off-street parking to be available for September • A date for a new clubhouse depends on completion of all of the above…and probably more!

  5. How are discussions with the Council going? • Very positive and supportive • Providing funding and planning

  6. What is happening within the Club? • Limited Company • Club Accreditation (formerly Seal of Approval) • Business Plan • Financial budgets and accounts • Roles & Responsibilities • CASC registration

Finance – Annette Partt • Budgets & Forecasting • Sub Committee Budgets • Budgets to be set for 2012/13 season to monitor and control the costs of the club • Forecasting • Identify areas of high expenditure & recommend appropriate action to the sub & management committees if necessary • Identify key income generating activities for the club • Cost Management & Controls • Implement new financial procedures across the club in line with the financial software being used • To make recommendations on policy for the funding of the club • Accounts • Clubs Financial Year to be Nov 11 to end Apr 13 • New Bank Accounts opened • 2 x Current accounts • Catering Account • Trading Account • 1 x Saving Account

Finance – Annette Partt Next steps • Identify Key Support Roles • Youth Finance Officer • Senior Finance Officer • Sub Committee Members • Input Income/expenditure on to financial software weekly • Apply for Community Amateur Sports Club(CASC) status after 1st set of company accounts have been submitted • Allow the club to claim gift aid and tax breaks
