  1. You Need: NOTEBOOK Goal:I can identify key contributions, by various scientists, to the Cell Theory. MondayNovember 14, 2016

  2. THE HISTORY OF CELLS Many people contributed to the scientific world of cells. Today you will research different scientists and their discoveries in order to gain some background information about cells.

  3. Things to include about each scientist • Name • Date of Birth/Death • Where they’re from • What they are known for? Key contributions to science/Cell Theory? • Any other interesting information? If possible • Picture • Cite your sources (where you got the info from)

  4. How will it be graded? • Each required piece will be worth 1 point. If you leave out any of the requirements, you will lose 1 point for each one omitted. • Be sure to include great detail about their contributions to science/Cell Theory.

  17. REMEMBER… WHEN YOU’RE DOING GROUP WORK, PLEASE STAY WITH YOUR GROUP ONLY. DO NOT WALK AROUND TO OTHER GROUPS AND TALK. ALSO, KEEP THE OUTSIDE CONVOS TO A MINIMUM. STAY ON TASK.

GROUP POSTER • What am I supposed to do? • Read your assigned passage with your group. • Figure out the important stuff. • Create a WANTED POSTER for your scientist(s). • Include important facts, dates, accomplishments, key terms • Make it B-E-A-UTIFUL. • Be creative…have fun with it. ***NOTE: I want to laminate these & display them in the hall. Use your strengths…let others make up for your weaknesses.

  20. GROUP SKITS • What are the requirements? • You must turn in a written/typed skit. • Everyone in the group must say something. • No props allowed. Use your imagination. • If you’re just sitting there watching your group work on the poster…perhaps you should begin writing the skit. #justsayin
