Vishwajyot curriculum has been created by integrating the subject matter expertise of ICSE and life skill components of the Waldorf philosophy. This allows each child to discover the world holistically, in its true interlinked form - and not in silos of academics and co-curricular.

  2. Benefits of Integrated Curriculum Rhythm, Routine, and Reverence are essential parts of everyday learning. Emphasizes equal importance on Arts and physical education as Math and Science Provides exposure to unifying concepts that are created by cutting across subject-matter lines Drives deeper understanding of connections across subjects Engages students in relevant and meaningful activities that can be connected to real life. Integrated Curriculum • • • • • Survey Project Students apply the concepts of geometry and trigonometry while using their learnings of geography and art, as they measure and create an accurate and scaled-down map of the field. Apart from academic skills, this project helps students to learn working in a team setting and exposes them to real-world problems.

  3. Handwork The Handwork skills that students learn at Vishwajyot carry over into math, reading, spelling and writing. Handwork teaches the students important executive functioning skills such as how to plan ahead, to work carefully step by step, and to sequence steps; they learn to envision a project both from whole to parts, and then parts to a whole project, all essential skills for their academic studies as well as life beyond the classroom.

  4. Bicycle: A machine that has revolutionised travel forever. Ever wondered how a simple machine such as a bicycle can help students learn about various laws of physics, geometry, trigonometry, the history of mankind, geography, and metallurgy, all together? Grade 8 students study the bicycle and how it integrates various concepts cutting across almost all subjects.

  5. Cookie Project : Cooking is a very important life skill but is so underrated. Students of Middle School bake cookies to learn various aspects of Physics, Math, and Chemistry that our mums use every day in the kitchen. While creating delicious cookies, students integrate the concepts of heat, chemical reactions, and ratio and proportion to create a real-world product.

  13. Know More Ever heard of learning physics through folding paper planes? Aerodynamics experts from IITB mentor middle school students as they construct paper planes while learning Force and Motion. The project culminates in an exciting plane race. The Paper Plane Project

  14. Know More Spotlight is a bi-annual student showcase event where we invite parents to witness the learning journeys of their children. Students have constructed pendulums, written and performed skits, run a vegetable market, and built robots in past Spotlights.
