We are expecting many more colleges to join us in the years to come. • The SFBac Testimonial Certificate will list your achievements and involvements at the College and in the community listing EVERY subject and extra activity you did during your time here, which will be great on your CV • The SF Bac will help give you a competitive edge when you make your university and job applications. Because of this, we will mention the SF Bac on your uni reference and you can in your statement . • Taking part in the SFBac will inspire you to become : • a more independent confident person • with the subjects, skills and values to enable to become the best person you can be both now and in the adult world.

  2. How do fill in my SF BAC booklet and achieve my SF Bac? Meet the college’s attendance requirements and pass your full-time programme. This can be easily filled in at the end of the year on your ‘core subjects page of the booklet Subjects Build up extra hours by attending and passing your skills subjects like GCSE’s, functional skills, and academic skills tutorials and mentoring sessions You can fill this in at the end of each year on the ‘skills section’ of your book aim for 100 hours over your course You need 200 hours between skills and values over 2 years Skills Show evidence of enrichment activities and work experience both inside and outside college. You can get you hours signed off on the page which says ‘values record’ ONCE a term – aim for 100 hours over your course Values Make sure the activities above include something That shows you are not too narrow e.g. if you only study science, an enrichment or skills subject that is not completely science based You cannot get the SF Bac without some breadth Breadth
