Athlete expectations • ALL STUDENT-ATHLETES ARE EXPECTED TO COMPLY WITH THE SCHOOL AND ATHLETIC RULES LAID OUT IN THE STUDENT/PARENT CONTRACT. • SPECIFIC EXPECTATIONS • MAINTAIN GOOD ACADEMIC STANDING • MAINTAIN GOOD CONDUCT STANDING • MAINTAIN PRACTICE ATTENDANCE • (NON-COMPLIANCE WILL RESULT IN COACH APPOINTED CONSEQUENCES)

  4. COMMUNICATION • ALL ATHLETES AND PARENTS ARE EXPECTED TO COMMUNICATE WITH THEIR EVENT SPECIFIC COACH REGARDING ANY PARTICIPATION ISSUES. IF THIS DOES NOT PRODUCE THE DESIRED RESULTS THEN THE HEAD COACH WILL BE INVOLVED. • IF THERE IS AN EMERGENCY PLEASE CONTACT COACH YOUNG OR PELOT VIA EMAIL.

WHERE YOUR FEES ARE GOING • IN ORDER TO PREPARE OUR ATHLETES FOR COMPETITION AT THE HIGHEST LEVEL AND REPRESENT MOUNTAIN VIEW TO THEIR FULLEST CAPACITY WE HAVE AND WILL PURCHASE IMPLEMENTS THAT FOCUS ON COMPETING AT THE HIGHEST LEVEL. • 2014 FEES WILL BE = $225.00 • $325.00 For Pole Vaulters • NIKE TEAM UNIFORMS • NEW TRAINING AND COMPETITION EQUIPMENT • HOME TRACK MEET • PRIVATELY FUNDED COACHES • BETTER AND LARGER MEETS • END OF THE YEAR AWARDS • PAYMENT OF COUNTY STARTUP LOAN

  6. Athlete Gear • EACH ATHLETE WILL RECEIVE • T-SHIRT WITH MV LOGO (MICRO-FIBER) • NIKE SWEATS/WARM UP • NIKE UNIFORM (TO BE RETURNED) • SENIORS WILL RECEIVE • UNIFORMS FOR A FEE • PLAQUE • SENIOR GIFT

FEE PAYMENT • EVERY ATHLETE WILL BE REQUIRED TO PAY THE ATHLETE FEE OF $225.00 • YOU CAN PAY THIS ONLINE @ MYMEALPAYMENTSPLUS.COM • INSTALLMENT PAYMENT • $75 DOWN BY JANUARY 31STAND PAID IN FULL BY FEBRUARY 17TH • (IF THIS DOES NOT MEET YOUR FINANCIAL NEEDS MEET WITH COACH YOUNG INDEPENDENTLY)

BOOSTER CLUB • WE ARE LOOKING TO START A TRACK BOOSTER CLUB THIS YEAR AND WE NEED MEMBERS • THE PRESIDENT, VICE PRESIDENT AND TREASURER WILL BE CHOSEN BY THE COACHING STAFF • ALL PARENTS/GUARDIANS CAN JOIN THE BOOSTER CLUB FOR NO FEE THIS YEAR • PLEASE EMAIL COACH YOUNG @ danny_young@gwinnett.k12.ga.us if you are interested.

TRANSPORTATION POLICY • IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE ATHLETE & PARENT/GUARDIAN TO HAVE A RIDE READY FOR THEM WHEN THE MEET IS OVER OR WHEN THE BUS ARRIVES. • ATHLETES 17 AND OLDER CAN DRIVE STUDENTS THAT ARE 16 AND OVER TO MEETS (UNLESS OKAY’D BY PARENT OR A FAMILY MEMBER) • IT IS NOT THE RESPONSIBILITY OF COACHES TO PROVIDE TRANSPORTATION TO ATHLETES. IF AN ATHELETE DOES NOT HAVE SUFFICIENT TRANSPORTATION THEN THEY MAY NOT BE PERMITTED TO PARTCIPATE.

CALENDAR • CHECK THE CALENDAR YOU RECEIVED TONIGHT FOR ALL TRACK MEETS AND PRACTICE DATES • IMPORTANT INFORMATION • MEETS CONTAIN INFORMATION PERTAINING TO BUS SCHEDULES (DROP OFF OR ROUND TRIP) • THE TIMES ARE DENOTED SO YOU KNOW WHEN TO PICK UP YOUR ATHLETE • SCHEDULE AHEAD (MISSED PRACTICES OR MEETS WILL RESULT IN PLAYER CONSEQUENCES UNLESS THE COACH HAS BEEN NOTIFIED)

Spike week w/big peach running company • An ongoing 10% discount on all regularly priced items in the store to all of your athletes. • A 15% discount off all regularly priced items in the store during your chosen spike week (Monday-Saturday). • Thursday of the spike week is the official “Spike Night” with food and drinks provided and one of our footwear partners will be present to answer any questions and spotlight particular products. • Big Peach is located at Suwanee Town Center at the intersection of Lawrenceville-Suwanee Road and Buford Highway.

  13. IMPORTANT INFORMATION • ALL ATHLETES MUST: • GO ON THE TRACK WEBSITE AND FILL IN THEIR SIZES FOR THEIR GEAR • HAVE A REGISTERED PHYSICAL • SIGNED PLAYER/PARENT CONTRACT • FEE PAYED (UNLESS COACH YOUNG HAS BEEN NOTIFIED) • 5. BE IN GOOD STANDING WITH THE SCHOOL
