  10. INNOVATION INNOVATION TR131B: behind the scenes • The prerequisites • Database .vd5 (to download in the e-catalogue) • the TR131B plug-in is included • ETS version3.0f or ETS version 4.0.3 as a minimum • (Update ETS4 available on the KNX site since April 2011) • Hold administrator rights • Power supply • Exclusively via the bus • Consumption: 15mA TR131B KNX bus

  11. TR131B: its integration into ETS •  Create a special radio line with only radio products to be configured, and with the TR131B media coupler • The physical address of the media coupler corresponds to that of a line coupler: Z.L.0 (for example 1.1.0) • The radio participants must be inserted in the line created by the TR131B Physical address = Z.L.0 Virtual radio line in the installation, but physically under ETS

  12. TR131B: the topology in practice TR131B "virtual" radio line created under ETS Example under ETS3, identical procedure with ETS4

  13. TR131B: the programing in practice  Example remote control parameters TR131B Configuring the radio participants and creation of group addresses between radio and wired participants is achieved without changing programming practices

  14. TR131B: the plug-in in practice The configuration of the radio products can be viewed by editing the TR131B parameters

  15. plug in TR131B TR131B: the programming methodology Create a radio line in the ETS project Add radio participants Program and create the links between participants Assign and download the physical address of the TR131B (an installation code is generated) Scan the radio products Download the physical addresses Download the parameters and the links in the radio products By editing the parameters, the plug-in gives access to the configuration of the radio products

  16. TR131B: TR131B: physical radio addressing View of the physical addressing of the radio participants List of the detected and incompatibleradio products which can be programmed by the TR131B  Procedure: • Select the product to physically address • Click on the “   " “ button, the physical addressing occurs • signifies that the product belongs to the installation and is physically addressed

  17. TR131B: the view for downloading the links The download view of the application and the links • There are two ways to download the parameters of the radio products: • From ETS, by right clicking on "download a radio product" • From the plug-in, by selecting the product and the type of download: all, parameters only, or links only

  18. TR131B: Recommendations • IT recommendations • Program using version ETS3.0f, ETS4.0.2or superior • Ensure you have administrator rights to install the plug-in. The plug-in is automatically installed when the TR131 is configured after its import into the project • Recommendations for implementation • Do not use old generation TR130 radio couplers in the installation • The TR131 coupler does not require a 230 V power supply. The product is supplied with power directly via the bus. Warning, during a power assessment, allow for 15 mA of consumption • The TR131 coupler must remain in place after configuration. It translates the wired frames to radio and the radio frames to wired • A special radio line must be created under ETS with the TR131 as coupler, for which the physical address must be of the Z.L.0 type

  19. TR131B: Recommendations • Recommendations during programming with ETS software • Separate the wired lines from the radio line. The radio line should only contain radio products • Only the plug-in can be used for downloading the physical address, the application and the group addresses of the radio products. The rest of the configuration does not change. The parameters and the creation of group addresses is achieved as for conventional wired products. • Several downloads or factory returns of unidirectional products may be required to complete the procedure. • Some advice about ETS for radio products • Do not use the product copy function • Do not copy a project containing a configured TR131 as this will cause a malfunction of the plug-in • Do not use the "by default" button in the ETS configuration window

  34. New range of universal dimmers 27.02.2013

  35. New tebis universal dimmer • TXA210A TXA210 TXA213 TXA215 • TXA210AN TXA210N TXA213N TX211A 27.02.2013

  36. New lamp developments Since the legal phasing out of incandescent bulbs, the following lamps have been placed on the market:New halogen lamps-energy-saving lamps and-LED lamps 27.02.2013

  37. New lamp developments Good dimming capacity with earlier universal dimmers Incandescent halogen lamp HalogenHV Good dimming capacity with earlier universal dimmers Limited dimming bandwidth(not standard compliant) High minimum level ESLdimmable Limited dimming bandwidth, continuously lit, flickering Dimmable LED Not dimmable with existing technology(inductive) Dimmable Osram type ESL Not dimmable"inductive dimming dangerous" ESLnot dimmable 27.02.2013

  38. Lamp dimming New dimmer technology: Able to « learn » each dimmable lamp Including LED and CFL lamps Integrated « lamp learning function » Manual adjustment of the dimming characteristics is possible 27.02.2013

  39. New tebis universal dimmer Replacing the existing product range Incorporating new dimmer Technology Dimming new lamps (ESL, LED) Reducing stand-by energy consumption green power 27.02.2013

  40. New tebis universal dimmer USP:- Unique load detection- genuine universal dimmer (dims everything) - very low standby consumption (0.2 W per output)- automatic load detection can be overwritten manually with a defined setting- also very well prepared for future lamps - TX100B and ETS compatible 27.02.2013

  41. New tebis universal dimmer New detection principle:- Also enables recognition of dimmable LEDs and ESL - as well as Osram bulbs - detects the minimum light level- time required ~30 sec.  therefore not possible each time ??- dynamic process (displays the selection)- by default, the automatic learning process uses the old TXA21x- in the event of unsatisfactory dimming results, the end user can start the learning process with a KNX button- if the process fails (unknown or not dimmable lamps) the dimmer goes back to the automatic learning process (capacitive) 27.02.2013

  42. Dimmers, TXA210N, TXA210AN, TXA213N Easy detect Manual selection (expert mode) Quick connect technology Identification plate 27.02.2013

  43. Easydetect (start of automatic load detection via KNX sensor buttons) Device must be connected on the network and on the bus Learning the load is used to identify the characteristics of the controlled lamp type in order to ensure its efficient management (in particular ESL and LED-lamps):- press five times on a KNX touch sensor configured to dim (5 ON, 5 OFF or 5 SWITCH), then press and hold until the load switches off Give one short press of the button to initiate the automatic learning phase. This process takes approx 30 seconds and a dimming process will occur. After this learning phase, the load lights up again at the maximum level and will flash once to indicate that the learning process is completed. 27.02.2013

  44. Manual load selection (expert mode) Press and hold down button 8, until the status displays flash By pressing button 3, select the channel for which you wish to alter the dimmer mode Give one or more short presses on button 8, in order to select the desired dimmer mode Press and hold down button 8, to confirm the selected operating mode. The indicator light flashes rapidly Release button 8. The indicator light comes oncontinuously and then extinguishes 27.02.2013

  45. Dimmer technology status in 2013 Good dimming ability with the new universal dimmers Incandescent halogen lamp Good dimming ability with the new universal dimmers HalogenHV Good dimming ability with the new universal dimmers CFLdimmable Good dimming ability with the new universal dimmers Dimmable LED Dimmable with new universal dimmer technology(inductive) CFL dimmable Osram type Not dimmablebut On/Off CFLnot dimmable 27.02.2013

  47. Connection and control elements TXA213N Select load coupling 3-fold KNX dimmer can load using avariable sliding switch from 3 x 300 W, via 1 x 600 W and 1 x 300 W up to 3 x 300 W 27.02.2013

  48. Manual selection of the dimming range Enter the min. and max. dim values:- Turn switch 1 to "manual" and then press button 3 (long press: adjust brightness, short press: switch on and off). Set the switch, depending on min. or max.- or, set switch 1 to min or max and with the output connected, set the desired value (make a pre-adjustment using ETS and/or TX100) Save the entered value:- Press and hold button 3 for 3 seconds. The saving process is confirmed by two flashes of LED 2 27.02.2013
