Without them there probably would be chaos as rules and regulations – and meeting the demands of local authorities - would most likely not be honored where people share the same common areas and needs in a residential estate or community. It goes without saying that in such communities members would want to share common goals and that they would want to receive the same shared services for the benefit of the whole group. In order to achieve this, it is imperative they manage the affairs of this community well. Few owners in such communities have the time, or are interested enough, or have the knowledge to ensure this is done in accordance with all rules, regulations and the required processes. There are simply too many issues to consider, right from calling meetings to making sure shared expenses are seen to and that ongoing general maintenance ensures the association’s assets are looked after.
