  3. Bubble Gum Books: See your assigned testing day on the Sharing note. Get books Aug. 26, Testing begins Sept 3. Math Homework: Math workbook will be sent home, work in it at your leisure, no need to turn in.

  4. See http://ves.norris.k12.ca.us Go to my staff page and see the Back-to-School notes where all curriculum is listed. Some of the curriculum is at the back of the room if you wish to look through any.

  6. ClassDojo See points on the app your child earns each day for positive behavior. When a child receives 10 points, they get a smelly sticker. Group points are also earned. Groups with the most points after a week win a prize from the treasure box. Misbehavior will be communicated privately and will result in time-outs, phone calls to parent or visit to principal.

  7. Progress will be reported 4 times over the course of the year. Parent conferences will take place at the end of October. After conferences, Report Cards will be sent home in an envelope in the daily folder.

  8. Important Events • APEX Fun Run Aug. 29 • Sept. 13, 1:00pm Grandparents Day • Oct. 24: Field Trip to Murray Family Farms (only 2 or 3 chaperones) • Native American Day: Nov. 22 • “Peter Rabbit” Play: April 2, 6:30pm • May: Field Trip to Frontier High School for Agriculture booths

  9. Volunteers • Parent Volunteer Meeting: Thurs., Aug. 22, 8:30am in office • See schedule in front of you if you signed up. • See me if you have questions. • You can also volunteer for events…info to come. • We need 1-3 APEX volunteers on Aug. 29

  10. Sharing • Sharing schedule in your packet (Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays) • Same day as Bubble Gum Testing day. • If there is no school on a Monday, those students will test/share on Tuesday.

  11. Newsletters • Newsletters will be sent on ClassDojo every Friday (let • me know if you are unable to view it.) • Please notice upcoming dates and what the students have been learning in each post. • All newsletters will also be posted on my class website • (http://ves.norris.k12.ca.us)
