  2. Idea 1- Crush, Love & Affection • Boy and girl meet in college through a mutual friend, they have an instant spark when they first meet. • They start spending a lot of time together by bunking lessons, the girls brother spots them and is enraged by the sight. • The families foreboded them to see each other so they said that if they were not allowed to be with each then they will leave home. • Both of their mums begged the rest of the family to just let them be as they didn’t want to lose their children over family feud. • They told their parents that if they were not allowed to be with each then they will leave. • Both of their mums begged the rest of the family to just let them be as they didn’t want to lose their children over family feud.

  3. Similar Programs http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6S6IJWilpx4 The film that i have written is similar to the film Romeo and Juliet as because it’s a story of two star crossed lovers who are asked not to be together because of family feuds.

  4. Treatment for Crush, Love & Affection • The genre of this film is romance and the classification of the film is a 12. • The duration of the film is going to be five minutes. • Audience: the audience of this film will 12 and over because of the scenes of rebelliousness. • Similar/comparable program example: this film will be like romeo and juliet. • Price budget: One hundred pounds

  5. Treatment for Crush, Love & Affection • Equipment: Boom mikes, camera, tripod • Actors and production team: we will need on average 10-25 actors and a few members of team to do the make up and editing • Ethical issues: we will need to contact the company of the soundtracks we will need to use. we will need to get consent for the various locations we will be shooting the film.

  6. Idea 2- Dream Later • Ben takes his dog for a usual walk around the park and meets a girl, he becomes mesmerized by her beauty and stupidly walks into a tree • He gets knocked out and the lady helps him up, he asks her out for lunch and she says yes in sheer delight • Later that day after lunch he invites her back to his house and she accepts, she brings her dog along, they watch television after dinner and he puts his arm around her and they kiss, the scene then blurs out • He walks his dog as he does usually, and meets the red head ‘again‘ and asks her out for lunch • She smirks and tells him to dream on......... was yesterday just a dream?

  9. Treatment for Dream Later • Classification/genre: The genre of my film will be romance, I have chosen this idea because i love watching soppy films. • Duration: The duration of my film will be 5 minutes, this is because that is the time in which we have been set to make the film in. This will be more than enough time to make a short romance film but i have to remember to keep track of time ensuring the film is not longer or shorter. The maximum for the film can be 8 minutes, this is more than enough time to make a romance film.

  10. Treatment for Dream Later • I feel that this film should be rated a 12A because the film has an implied sex content. • The price budget will be £100. This is because there are four of us so the money that is going to be paid will be split three ways. • The equipment needed will mainly be the camera, tripod and boom mikes, as well as crew members and actors.

  11. Treatment for Dream Later • I will need about 30 actors, including the main characters and a few crew members as well as an editing team, make up artists and wardrobe. • In terms of soundtracks we will need to contact the owners of the soundtrack to ask for permission to use it. We will need to explain that it is only for a media project and not for making profit. We will also need consent for filming at the park.

  12. Idea 3 - Reminiscence • An old lady is on her death bed, and she reflects (via flashbacks) key moments that happened during her life time • The first flashback is when she was clearly a young teenager and she looses her virginity to a boy in a park behind, he lays down a blanket and the scene fades away but the audience knows what’s going to happen ;)

  13. Idea 3 - Reminiscence • The scene then moves to her giving birth and in a lot of pain, and she is sweating & screaming. After she is given her baby her dad comes and takes the baby, and then it fades into her being in bed as an old woman • She then has a flashback of when she was about 30 years of age and she was in a relationship with a boy in school, he’s in uniform when they meet up. The scene then cuts to them arguing in a car we can’t see what is being said but we see a close up of him punching her in the face

  14. Idea 3 - Reminiscence • The old woman wakes up sweating, and a single tear rolls down her face • She flashes back to when she first held her grandchild, happy scene • The old woman then dies, the audience know’s this as the music changes and her vision becomes dilated through the camera • Just before she died she goes back to when she was holding her daughter and brushing her hair • Fades into black

  15. Similar Programs Before Flash back http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zCy5WQ9S4c0

  16. Treatment for Reminiscence • Audience - The film will be targeted at adults between the age of 20-30 because they will empathize more with the main character because of there maturity • Similar Program - A similar idea of this film is titanic, because of the idea of an old woman having flash backs of the good and bad points within her life.

  17. Treatment for Reminiscence • Price - the budget of this film will be between £200-£250 because there will be a lot of costume that are needed for different era’s in time. • Equipment - Camera’s, Props etc... • Actors - There needs to be about 15/20 actors and actresses throughout this film, we can audition people from the drama department. But we won’t need a lot of production people involved just a camera man or woman and an editor also somebody to hold a boom mic.

  18. Treatment for Reminiscence • Ethical issues - Because we are working with small children we would need to have permission from their parents and to properly brief then on what their child will be taking part in. Within the scene that an older woman is having a relationship with a younger man we would need to find somebody over the age of 16 so that is it legal, but we won’t film anything inappropriate

  19. Treatment for Reminiscence • Classification - the age classification of this film will be a 15 because idea’s and themes of this film may not be understood by children under the age of 15. The film also contains language that guardians and parents may not find appropriate for the children in their care to watch and enjoy. • Duration - The film should last between 7-10 minutes because it has a lot of content that is essential to the story of the film.

  20. Final Idea - Sweet Dreams • An old lady is on her death bed, she’s talking to a nurse about her life and she reflects (via flashbacks) key moments that happened during her life time

  21. Final Idea - Sweet Dreams • The first flashback is when she was clearly a young teenager and she spends the night with the boy he loves , he lays her down on the bed and the scene fades away but the audience knows what’s going to happen

  22. Final Idea - Sweet Dreams • The scene then moves to her giving birth and in a lot of pain, and she is sweating & screaming. After she has given her baby her dad comes and takes the baby, and then it fades into her being in bed as an old woman

  23. Final Idea - Sweet Dreams • She then has a flashback of when she was about 30 years of age and she was in a relationship with a boy in school, he’s in a suit when they first met in the park walking their dogs. The school boy meets her and becomes mesmerized by her beauty and walks into a tree. He gets knocked out and the lady helps him up, he asks her out for lunch and she accepts.

  24. Final Idea - Sweet Dreams • Later that day after lunch he invites her back to his house and she accepts, she brings her dog along. They kiss and the scene blurs out. It leads to another memory of them together when he takes her to his house to meet his parents and the parents say that they do not agree with their son being with an old lady no matter how much they claim they love each other (the woman is in shock that he is only 16)

  25. Final Idea - Sweet Memories • It cuts to a flash back of them arguing in her living room where he hits her and she falls to the ground and as he walks out the door she slams a vase at him just as he shuts the door • The old woman wakes up sweating, and a single tear rolls down her face • The old woman then dies a slow and painless death, the audience know’s this as the music changes and her vision becomes dilated through the camera • Fades into black

  26. Treatment for final idea - Sweet Dreams • Classification/Genre: The genre of our film will be romance via flashbacks. We chose this type of genre because we like watching soppy films. • Duration: The duration of our film will be approximately five minutes. This will be enough time to film the flashbacks and ensuring that we keep track of the time frames. • Audience: We feel that the film should be rated a 12A as the film implies that two people are going to have sexual relations.

  27. Treatment for final idea - Sweet Dreams • Price budget: Our price budget will be £100. This is because there are three of us so the money will be split three ways. This should be enough money for our budget as we aren’t making a profited film therefore we will not be paying the actors but we will be providing complementary refreshments. • Equipment: The main equipment we will need is a camera, tripod and some boom mikes.

  28. Treatment for final idea - Sweet Dreams • Actors and production team: We will need approximately 10-15 actors, we will get these actors by holding auditions within college. We will also need about 5 people to be part of the production team, editing team and make up and wardrobe. • Ethical issues:In terms of soundtrack we will use a song from Titanic but have an original singer singing it. We will consent for filming in certain locations as well as using the soundtrack from the film Titanic.
