  1. You have been hired as the curator for a new museum. It is your job to plan and create five rooms for this Museum of the Eras. Social Studies Final Museum of the Eras

  2. Choose 5Eras: ~Civil War ~Reconstruction/Civil Rights ~Westward Expansion (Cattle Drives/Native Americans/Farmers/RR) ~The Great War ~1920s ~The Great Depression

  3. Each room will have at least five different artifacts on display to give an overview of the Era and help museum visitors understand the importance of the time period, sequence of events, and cause and effect relationships within the Era

  4. On the floor plan for each room: ~DRAW and LABEL each of the 5 artifacts in the room. The items do not have to actually exist, so you can use almost anything as a display item (just not live people or animals)

  5. Use 5 different types of displays in each room such as photographs, pictures, maps, artifacts, interactive areas, documents, models of scenes or people, media, posters, etc.

  6. ~On the other side of the paper, write a description of each of the 5 artifacts “on display” explaining or describing ~what the item is ~importance of item and ~how it illustrates the Era

  7. Scoring 25 pointsper room X 5 rooms 125 points possible Creating a 6throom (covering the additional Era) will be worth extra credit.
