According to the ADB research document Franchise Associations provide the following:- Roles: To lobby the public sector To promote the credibility of its members To provide networking opportunities To provide professional development programes To market and promote its members

Pan African Franchise Association • Seminars and workshops • Establish Code of Ethics • Lends credibility • Source of information and support • Work through each country's Chambers of Commerce • South Africa could be utilised as a strategic platform to develop and expand franchising in Africa • Requires funding
