  7. Impact Impact 1. The case studies will be exemplars to teachers and support staff Impact 2. A conceptual framework will help stakeholders understand the key variables in planning and implementation of courses linking formal and informal learning using e-tools Impact 3. The recommendations will inform senior managers and others about strategies to support the integration of formal and informal learning Impact 4. The guidelines will support senior managers in shaping and implementing curriculum processes and support strategies to harness students’ independence in the informal learning domain to enrich formal learning processes. Dissemination • Publication in an international, peer reviewed journal • Dissemination of the typology, case studies and briefing paper via the HEA website • Presentations at national/international conferences, such as HEA Conference and ALT-C • National dissemination through an interactive workshop presentation as part of the HEA Supporting Sustainable e-Learning Forum (SSeLF) • Regional dissemination across the Scottish sector through the QAA quality enhancement workshops • Further regional dissemination within and across the two collaborating institutions HEA, Improving SLE projects Start up meeting, York, UK September 22, 2006
