  1. DEGASIFIER TOWER Water engineering Services design and manufactures a complete line of "Forced Draft Degasification" equipment commonly referred to as a "Degasifier". . What is Degasification: Degasification is a process similar to aeration because it brings water and air into close contact in order to "strip" a dissolved gas from the water. The reason degasifier remains so critical in today's water and wastewater markets is because it remains the most cost effective and efficient method to remove dissolved gases or induce additional oxidation of impurities like hydrogen sulfides from the water. Degasification removes dissolved gasses such as hydrogen sulfide, carbon dioxide, volatile organic chemicals known as (VOC's). Degasification can be the either the first treatment process or the last at the WTP or WWTP depending on the conditions of the water and the additional types of water purification or waste water treatment being applied. If the degasifier is being utilized to help remove other forms of dissolved gases or impurities in the water such as hydrogen sulfide or VOC's then the aeration unit is commonly referred to as either a "Degasification" unit or an "Air Stripper". Both of these units utilize a form of aeration to achieve the desired results. DEGASIFIERS WILL OXIDIZE THE FOLLOWING CHEMICALS - Ammonia - Carbon Dioxide - Chlorine - Hydrogen Sulfide - Iron and Manganese - Methane
