  3. Wiltshire Association of Cricket Officials ECB Association of Cricket Officials Five Regions 39 County Associations of Cricket Officials (ACOs) Recruit, Train, Mentor, Assess, Promote “The Pathway”

  4. Wiltshire Association of Cricket Officials • We like to be known as WACO • WACO currently has 113 umpire & 33 scorer members • We appoint to WEPL, Wiltshire League and all ECB sponsored matches and much more

  5. Wiltshire Association of Cricket Officials • The committee meets monthly throughout the year • Members meet at Pre-season, Mid-season and Post-season meetings (incl AGM) • We assess and grade all officials in the county

  6. Wiltshire Association of Cricket Officials Umpires are appointed to matches according to their Grade Grading is based on education and performance. Currently there are seven grades. Appointments are made on ‘whostheumpire’ website which ensures all parties are aware of the appointment. We have our own pages on the Wiltshire Cricket website

  7. The Umpires’ “Pathway” L4 Professional Level 3 multi-day Level 2 – Premier League Level 1A course Level 1 course Introductory course

  8. Wiltshire Association of Cricket Officials The Introductory Course is suitable for coaches and parents who may be asked to stand or score in youth or other club matches. It takes about four hours and is delivered at your club

  9. Wiltshire Association of Cricket Officials • In addition to the “Pathway” of courses we have a presentation called “Understanding the Umpire” which explains umpiring and the “Spirit of Cricket with a video quiz at the end. • It has been used at Loughborough for the Elite Under 13 and Under 16 squads • It takes about an hour and can be delivered at your club.
