  1. ASL 1 Welcome! Today: 1.Written Doorbuster (#1-3). 2. Be sure grid is completed from yesterday (for activity later today). 3. Activity (don’t start yet ) • Please copy the following notes: • 1. NMS stands for non-manual signals. • 2. NMS attach to signs or sentences. • 3. The NMS attached to words (that you know so far) are: “tongue out” (NOT-YET); “emot” (emotional, such as HAPPY, ANGRY,…); and “lowered eyebrows” on Wh-question words (WHAT, HOW, WHO, WHERE, etc…). • Grid from yesterday- be sure you have 20 signs (different from your partner), and all 5 parameters completed (when there is no NMS, leave blank or write a zero). Leave the columns “Was understood” and “Had to fix” blank right now. • Study MASL! Pp.183-184- class subjects

  2. Grid from yesterday (Monday): • Written Doorbuster– Please create this grid below on a new page in your composition book: • Parameters Was Had to Sign Handshape Palm Or. Movement Location NMS understood? Fix? Instructions (Individual Assignment): number 1-20 under Sign, choose 20 signs from any list, and complete the parameters for each of the 20. For the activity today, you will cover the signs and see if your partner can guess the sign.

  3. Welcome ASL 3! Today– iPad activity- fun! • *** Reminder: Politics and Related signs- test on Thursday  • 1. Doorbuster (5 min.): Look over the Political and Related Signs list- which signs do you NOT remember? • 2. Political and Related Signs list signed once with Dr. Weast- see if you can sign it first! • 3. Political creations with PicCollage App!

Political creations with PicCollage App! • – Individual- You each need an iPad • Each person: Find 5 political pictures, create a collage, add text (from our list- therefore at least 5 signs from the list to help review ), then email me!  • Then, you will sign them to the class - • Instructions: find picture on internet; tap and “save image”, then open pic collage app, create new collage, and you did it!

  5. Welcome! ASL 2---Per. 5: Today-1. Last 2 presentations. 2. Signing up for classes--schedules for next year  • 1. Presenters- need 5 minutes? You have got it  • 2. Ticket Out- done before we work on schedules: Country Signs, then and now (5 min.). • Remember: the country signs test is Thursday!  (not tomorrow). This will give you one more day to study with me, and also on your own time. • Hawk Time passes- entry today will depend on the teacher
