  4. Week 3 Concepts and principles of (foreign) language learning and teaching- overview • To give students a general picture on the framework of teaching English: context and syllabus • By examining the setting and learners in the context, students will be able to set up an appropriate syllabus.

Week 4The Grammar-Translation Method, the Direct Method and the Audio-Lingual Method • To give students a general picture on the teaching models • Teaching models include The Grammar-Translation Method The Direct Method The Audio- Lingual Method The Silent Way Community Language Learning Communicative Language Learning Content-based, Task-based, and Participatory Approaches

  6. Week 5 The child as a language learner • To help students understand the different development of child which is beneficial to language learning. • To help students understand a child as an English learner

  7. Week 6 Teaching listening to young learners • To teach students some teaching skills when teaching listening • To provide a variety of examples of materials for teaching listening • Teaching demonstration will be carried out

  16. Week 16, 17 Student Presentation • Students, two in a group, will do a 15-minute teaching demonstration, in which they have to demonstrate the teaching skills they have learnt
