  6. Gyula Szabó PhD Eur Erg • FEES is the Federation of the European Ergonomics Societies. Its mission is to enhance the recognition of ergonomics contributing to economic development, to quality of life, to health and safety at work, and to social progress in European Countries. • Dr. Szabó is the Chair of the Communication and Promotion Committee of FEES, • and the president of the Hungarian Ergonomics Society, • but for living he’s an associate professor in Budapest, supervising a two-year postgraduate OSH course, assisting companies with ergonomics programs, and developing ergonomic risk assessment tools. • He’s a registered european ergonomist, and the president of the Hungarian National Assessment Board of EurErgs. • This is his 3rd campaign as FEES C&P chair.

Federation of European ErgonomicsSocieties & EU-OSHA Campaign Partnership • The EME (European Month of Ergonomics) campaignsupports the EU-OSHA campaign by highlighting the ergonomics considerations of the workplace. • They include, among others, the following topics: • organisation of the work, including working time and shift work • design of the jobs and work tasks • design of the workplace and work equipment • design of the worker-system interface • design of the physical work environment. • These are core fields of ergonomics. • Ergonomists have experience on them and can contribute this knowledge to the EU-OSHA campaign.
