EU research group UNICA Rector's seminar Mikael Gröning , Lucas Zinner, July 5th 2007 • UNICA questionnaire for rectors' seminar • External Research Projects’ funding • The EU-FP6 funding share made at maximum 25-30% of the universities’ external research budget / incoming (Lausanne - CH being a special case) • Although the numbers of running research projects among the universities show an enormous range from 40 to 9.000 (!): • the EU-FP6 participation share is in comparison quite homogenous • the EU-FP6 number of co-ordinations per university is quite low (administrative difficulties? non-existing professional management resources?) • the EU “impact” in general is quite low
