  6. Application for higher education In Malaysia, after the students finished their SijilPelajaran Malaysia(SPM) that is Form 5, there are 2 ways for them to choose if they want to enter local universities. First is matriculation and the other would be SijilTinggiPelajaran Malaysia(STPM) which is also known as Form 6. Students in England continue their studies in higher education after their secondary education which is compulsory for all children from age 11 to 18. The difference of application of higher education in Malaysia and England is that students in Malaysia are required to choose 8 courses of their choice with the university included whereas in England, students choose a college of their choice before choosing the course they want.
