  5. Definition • Opposite Numbers – numbers that are the same distance from zero in the opposite direction -6 -5 -4 -3 -2 -1 0 1 2 3 4 5 6

  6. Opposite Numbers • These are also known as Zero Pairs • Because if we add the opposites together we get ZERO for an answer. • +7 + -7 = 0 • -4 + +4 = 0

  7. Definition • Integers – Integers are all the whole numbers both positive and negative and zero.
