But the median wages of female managers are just 73 percent of what male managers earn. • only4 percent of the C.E.O.’s in Fortune’s top 1,000 companies are female (Coontz, 2012) • According to a Pew Research study 77% of people think a college degree is necessary for women to get ahead while only 68% think the same for women.
