  1. What Are The Types Of Arthritis And What Are The Ways To Get Rid Of Arthritis? The term arthritis refers to the pain felt in your joints. Arthritis is not only a single disease. People of all ages and sex may get affected by arthritis. However, arthritis is most commonly found among women, although it is not considered an age-related disease. It is also considered one of the significant causes of disability in the USA. Types Of Arthritis There are various kinds of arthritis that a person may suffer from. Let's look at the two most common types of arthritis - osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. ● Osteoarthritis - Osteoarthritis is one of the most common types of arthritis. Osteoarthritis occurs on the wearing down of your cartilage, possibly due to age, overuse, or injury. It is usually very easy to diagnose. If you had to face any injury in previous years, you must have received treatment and returned to your everyday life after a couple of days. Even if the injury has healed, there is still a chance of damage caused to the cartilage or surrounding muscles which may lead to developing osteoarthritis in the later part of your life. ● Rheumatoid arthritis - Rheumatoid arthritis is also known as inflammatory arthritis. It is an autoimmune disease in which the immune system perceives the joints as a threat and attacks them. It may lead to pain, swelling, and stiffness in your joints. If you are suffering from rheumatoid it, you may notice that your joints pop and crack. It is because the cartilage between your joints has worn down over time, leaving more service areas for the joints to rub together.

  2. Common Symptoms Of Arthritis The symptoms of arthritis may appear in different ways depending on the type of arthritis. The symptoms may develop suddenly or gradually. Let's have a look at some of the common symptoms of arthritis. ● Pain - The pain of arthritis may remain constant or even come and go. It can be felt in one part of your body or also be felt in many parts of your body. ● Swelling - In some types of arthritis, the skin over the affected area in your body may get red and swollen, making you feel warm to the touch. ● Stiffness - Stiffness is one of the most typical symptoms of arthritis. With some types of arthritis, it may most likely occur when you wake up in the morning, after sitting at a desk, or when you may have sat in a car for an extended period. Stiffness may also occur with exercise with some types of arthritis. ● Difficulty In Moving A Joint - While moving your joint or getting up from your chair seems hard and; painful, it may indicate arthritis or some other joint-related problem. Ways To Get Relief From Arthritis Following are some of the natural ways to get relief from arthritis: ● Managing your weight - Your body weight can have a significant impact on the symptoms of arthritis. Extra body weight puts more pressure on the body's joints, especially on the hips, knees, and feet. Reducing body weight can decrease pain, improve mobility, and prevent future damage to the joints. A certified physical therapist can be beneficial in guiding you about reducing the weight of your body. ● Doing enough exercise - If you are suffering from the problem of arthritis, then doing exercise can help you manage your weight correctly, allowing you to keep your joints flexible enough by strengthening the muscles around the joints. Some of the best low-impact exercises may include cycling, walking, swimming, etc. It thus helps in providing more support. ● Using hot and cold therapy - Hot and cold therapy treatments can help relieve arthritis pain and inflammation. Hot therapy may include taking a warm shower in the morning, which can be very useful in easing the stiffness and using a heating pad to reduce discomfort overnight. Cold therapy can also be beneficial in relieving joint pain, swelling and inflammation. Applying ice packs wrapped in a towel to the painful joints can provide quick relief. But you should never apply ice directly to your skin.

  3. Acupuncture - Acupuncture is an ancient Chinese treatment that involves the insertion of thin needles into various specific points in the body. The physical therapist says that it works by rerouting the energies and restoring the balance in the body. ● Following a Healthy Diet - A diet rich in fresh fruits and vegetables can boost your immune system and overall health. A plant-based diet consists of various antioxidants, which can help reduce inflammation in the body. There has been evidence that the choice of your diet can directly affect rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis. Conclusion Exercise and other natural therapies can play an effective role in providing relief from arthritis pain and swelling. An experienced and certified physical therapist can help determine the best course of therapy or treatment for arthritis based on the causes and your symptoms. The goal of the treatment should be to reduce the stress on the joints so that you can enjoy a better life.
