  2. Mathematics • Math 103 originally approved in November – • Create new course in Mathematical Literacy MATH 103 for students who do not need higher level mathematics as part of their curriculum. Course content has been determined by MHEC to be consistent across Maryland. No resource implications because students in this course will not be taking another math course. • Has now been approved as a general education course. • SAAC asking for a new vote to confirm status.

  3. Kinesiology • Major: Exercise Science with two concentrations • Clinical • Health Fitness Changes: Remove EXSC 455 Health Fitness Management from Clinical concentration Major Requirements Remove BIOL 301 and BIOL 303 Microbiology and lab from Clinical Supportive Requirements Add Seven (7) Free Electives to Clinical Concentration

Kinesiology Continued Health Fitness Concentration Changes: • Add EXSC 480 Essentials of Personal Training • Add EXSC 456 Sports Finance and Economics • Both classes will be electives for the Exercise Science major taught in rotation with other electives with no resource implications. • Remove EXSC 382 Socio-Cultural Analysis of Sports from Major Requirements • Remove BUAD 304 from Supportive Requirements • Change ACCT 201 to ACCT 200 in Supportive Requirements • Add Six (6) credits of free electives
