  2. Agenda • How VTCT have implemented Parnassus Awarding System • Other applications we have implemented and how they link together • Items still on the agenda we are working towards • The future . . . .

  3. Where we were!! What to do with it ?

  4. The problem

  5. Issues and Action • Multiple spreadsheets • Multiple databases • No information connection • Re-work of base data • Stress • Additional temporary staff at peak times Inefficiency!!! AnalySe SolUtion ProCess ObjeCtives TEamwork ViSion SaleS

  6. Our approach . . . • We drew up a formal scope • We went out to tender • We set up internal project teams • We chose GA as our partner We opted for integration across our systems

  7. So what came next ? • We reviewed our processes to analyse where the log jams were • We re-structured internal teams • We found out what our customers expected from us • We implemented Parnassus/CRM 8th June 2009 • We implemented GP 1st Aug 2009

  8. The Solution . . .

  9. Why Parnassus? • A product designed for the AO environment • Disciplined Qualifications setup • Learner Audit trail • Ease of Use • Constantly reviewed • Ability to integrate with other systems!

  10. What we integrated • CRM • Centre Recognition • EV monitoring and administration • plus generic “out the box” CRM functionality • Great Plains • Invoicing • Financial reporting and monitoring

  11. What integration gives us • Joining everything up has allowed us to: • Put information in once for use across ALL systems • Reduce turn round time • Improve productivity – via online registration and certification • Improved efficiency - improved Customer Service!

  12. CRM/GP/Parnassus • Rumba interface allows us to manage our qualifications at Centre level and ensure the information is correctly stored in Parnassus • Bolero seamlessly synchronises the data • Hermes link allows us to invoice direct from Parnassus for Learner registrations • Hermes will also (when live) allow us to invoice direct from CRM for Centre visits etc

  13. Working with other systems • Parnassus already links with our e-assessment system for uploading of learner registrations It needs continuous development to ensure: • It stays ahead of the game in the changing world of Awarding • It can link to external regulatory system – e.g. DAS, RITS, LRM • It can benefit from its user contributions – exampled by todays’ event

  14. What is coming on stream . . • Automatic posting of learner results from our xAMS assessment system • Auto population of our e-portfolio system coming on line for Sept 2011 • Improvements to our online certification and registration systems • ?????

  15. Our e-Portfolio In addition to providing usual features it also includes full, electronic record of assessment books integrated into the learner interface and is driven from the learner perspective

  16. Integrating our Portfolio Data in once – fully integrated!!!

  17. The future . . . • As a User Group member VTCT would hope: • To inform and influence the development of the product to the benefit of all users • To ensure the ever growing demands of the QCF and associated changes from the Wolf report are actively embraced • To benefit from information exchange and new initiatives as they arise.

  18. Thank you for listening. • Questions???
