  2. The basic information of urbanization

  3. The urbanization rate increases further: The resident population of the urban reached 52.43%.

  4. The number of rural migrants accounts for 26% in 2013, which is 3.1percentage points higher than that of 2011.

  5. The number of rural migrants in the west increased significantly from 8% in 2011 to 20% in 2013.

  6. Distance is a key factor for migration. The proportion of rural migrants(%)

  7. The trends of urbanization

  8. 40.1% of the rural hukou population move to the urban, and the majority migrate within the county.

  9. For 51.6% of the population who are left-behind in rural lose labor ability.

  10. Lots of rural young adults has moved to the urban.

  11. Most highly educated population has moved to the urban.

  13. People migrate from undeveloped cities to developed ones. Inflow Outflow

  14. Rural migrant workers in third-tier and fourth-tier cities have highest proportion, at 51% and 40.8% respectively.

  15. Third-tier and fourth-tier cities are the key to the future development of urbanization.

  16. The future speed of urbanization in potential cities agglomeration is the fastest.
