Graduating seniors are invited to a meeting where they can purchase their Chromebook and get information about upcoming events such as Prom and Baccalaureate Services.

  1. Senior Meeting All Graduating Seniors were invited during FAST April 22nd and April 23rd 2019

  2. Chromebook Collection/Sales Any graduating senior may purchase their Chromebook (series 3180) for $175. Purchase Week will be next week during FAST April 29 - May 3rd during FAST in the cafetera. Please bring your Chromebook and check, cash or Credit Card with you during FAST the week of 4/29 - 5/3 to the cafeteria area. Chromebooks purchased will be possession of JCPS until May 8th...This includes insurance coverage. If not purchasing, Chromebook and charger will be turned in on May 7th during FAST in front gym lobby.

  3. Your Student Account Will Close May 8th! Even if purchasing your Chromebook. Save your files using: Google Takeout Before May 8th, on your Chromebook, visit: https://takeout.google.com/ Select which Google data to include (Default is ALL) Choose a download format and let the archive process complete Download and save your archive. Copy your archive to another computer, flash drive or service. You could even email your archive. Be sure this is done before your account closes on May 8th!

  4. Senior Intentions ALL SENIORS MUST COMPLETE A SENIOR INTENTION. THIS NOTIFIES THE COUNSELING OFFICE WHERE YOU WANT YOUR FINAL TRANSCRIPT SENT. • Due to the counseling office by Monday, April 29th at 8 am. • Please note any changes made after Monday, April 29th at 8 a.m. will not be reflected in the graduation program.

Prom: May 4 8:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m. Fleming Fieldhouse • Tickets must be purchased in advance during lunch • April 24th - May 3rd at lunch • JCHS students must have cleared behavior, no fines, and 90% attendance • All attendance credits must be made up before the first day of ticket sales • Formal dress • Register a non-JC student guest by May 1 at 3:30 p.m. • Guest: Current high school freshmen up to 20 years of age • ID required at ticket purchase and night of the dance. Parking: The student entrance will be the Lafayette door. Park accordingly. #jayprom2019

Seniors’ Last Day: May 8 Beginning at 10:48 am Seniors’ Last Day: • 10:48 am meet in Gym for Graduation Practice • DrumLine after practice (Approximately 11:25 am) • Drumline will march down the hallway towards dock area, down Jayette Drive, then down Lafayette, up Union and into the Stadium • Seniors will ring the bell in the Stadium **If it is rainy, we will do drumline and ringing of the bell in the gym All coursework, including e2020, for seniors wanting to participate in the commencement must be completed with passing grade no later than 12:00 p.m. on May 8.

  7. Baccalaureate Services: May 5 “A farewell address in the form of a sermon delivered to a graduating class” 2:00 p.m. Miller Performing Arts • Attendance is voluntary. Cap and gown must be worn. • Boys must wear dress shirts with collars, tie, dress slacks (no jeans), and dress shoes. • Girls must wear dresses, skirts, slacks (no jeans), and dress shoes (no flip flops or high heels). • Tassels are worn on the right side of the cap. No flowers, corsages, cameras, or purses will be worn or carried during the ceremony. • Must be lined up by 1:30 p.m.

  8. Commencement Day: May 12 12:00 noon Adkins Stadium (Linc if inclement weather) • Cap and gown must be worn during commencement. • NO ALTERATIONS MAY BE MADE TO CAP OR GOWNS. You are graduating as a uniformed class • Boys should wear dress shirts with collars, tie, dress slacks (no jeans), and dress shoes. • Girls should wear dresses, skirts, slacks (no jeans), and dress shoes (no flip flops or high heels). • Tassels are worn on the right side of the cap. • No flowers, corsages, cameras or purses will be worn or carried during the ceremony. • NO BEACH BALLS...Keep it classy please • This is a ceremony not a party • Must be lined up by 11:30 a.m. In the event of inclement weather: The Linc YOU MUST HAVE A TICKET FOR ADMITTANCE. Pick up 4th block in First Floor NCC Office

Project Graduation: May 12 Hosted at the Linc by PTO parent volunteers...not a school function • Get your tickets April 25 - May 3 during all lunch periods in the cafeteria. • Project Graduation tickets are free, but a ticket is required. • No later than May 3rd • No guests allowed; only seniors who are walking in graduation can attend. • Check-in will start at 9:30 p.m. No one will be admitted after 10:00 p.m. • Students will not be able to return to their cars until the end of the event. • Students will be issued an ID tag at check-in which must be worn for the duration of the event. • Students will be released at 4:00 a.m. • All prizes must be taken or picked up at that time. School ID is required when signing up and when arriving atthe Linc.

  11. Senior Calendar May 8 10:48 am Senior’s Last Day: Graduation Practice Drumline/Ringing Senior Bell May 8 All A+ hours must be complete. Timesheets must be to the A+ office by 2:55 p.m. All course work must be complete by 11 am. May 12 12:00 pm Commencement Services @ Adkins Stadium (or the Linc) May 12 9:30 pm Project Graduation @ the Linc

Have you... • Purchased your Prom Tickets (By Vending Machines at Lunch) • Purchased or returned your Chromebook • Signed up for Project Graduation (By Windows at Lunch with PTO) • Picked up your Yearbook (By Windows at Lunch) • Have picked up your Caps and Gowns • (If not go to 1st Floor NCC Admin Office, third hallway...Ask for Mrs. Kathy) • Checked the seating assignment (In Front of main office on bulletin board) • Picked up your Inclement Weather tickets (Main Office before May 8th) • Done your Senior Intention form (Infinite Campus) • Checked Fines and Fees (Infinite Campus) • Completed all coursework by May 8th @ 12 noon If so, then you are ready to graduate!
