  2. What is Mass media? • Mass media is a term used to describe media designed to reach a very large audience. • It is used to inform, to persuade, and to entertain.

  3. To inform • An informative essay is intended to provide information about a topic. It could be a how-to or a video or presentation on describing any topic. • It uses diagrams, photos, and step-by-step performances, etc.

  4. To Persuade • When you persuade someone you try to convince them to either view something in a certain way or convince them to do something. • A persuasive piece is intended to get the reader to change their opinion or practices to align with the writer’s or speaker’s.

  5. To Entertain • To entertain someone is to use a piece that brings something that appeals to them in a certain way. • It uses language or special effects to amaze the viewer.

  6. Content • The content (what is included) of a presentation can vary though the topic can stay the same. • A lot of the time, the presenter will make changes to the presentation according to his audience is.
