  1. Introduction Department of Audiology and Speech Sciences (JASP) offers two undergraduate programs: Audiology and Speech Sciences Clinical practicum: Audiology: starting from 2nd year 2nd semester (observation and hands-on) Speech Sciences: starting from 2nd year 2nd semester

  2. Students’ academic performance : an important indicator of the quality of the graduates Students’ academic achievement is measured by CGPA Many factors could act as barriers and catalysts to students achieving a high CGPA (Ali et al, 2009) Aim: To investigate the factors that are correlated with academic performance of students during their clinical years

  3. Literature Review • Success of academic performance was reported related to strategic or deep learning style in final year (McManus et al., 1998). • According to Sansgiry and Sail (2006), time management can be oneof the factors that might contribute to academic performance among students.

  4. Malathi & Damodaran (1999) reported that the potential negative effects of emotional distress include impairment of functioning in class-room performance and clinical practice, stress-induced disorders and deteriorating performance. • Thisis supported by Bramness et al., (1991) who found excessive stress may result in mental and physical problems and may diminish a student's sense of worth and might affect his/her academic achievement.
