  2. KISSKeep it Simple, Silly. • Use bullets, not long sentences • Punctuate only if you have to • No fancy fonts or sounds • Support your topic with visuals

  3. RULE OF • 6 lines per slide • 6 words on a line • 6 seconds for the audience to “get” it. • Try to follow the Rule of 6 as much as possible. Fill in additional information with your presentation.

  4. NO JAZZ, MAN • Use simple fonts • Capital and lowercase letters • Stick to 1 or 2 fonts • No crazy slide transitions! • Save “artistic” touches for last • Need time to talk to your audience? Put in a filler slide

  5. Catch the Rainbow • Use bright colors • Pastels are hard to see • (Pastels are hard to see) • Use dark letters/light background or dark background/light letters • Watch Red and Green – some people are colorblind

  6. Practice, Practice, Practice • Do the fonts you used work on the computer you are presenting on? • Does the computer work? • Use sound effects only when necessary • Do you know your topic? REALLY well?
