Justice and Home Affairs • All acquis in the area of Justice, Liberty and Security • External borders, Schengen • Judicial cooperation in civil matters • Judicial cooperation in criminal matters • Fight against organised crime and terrorism • Police cooperation • Fight against trafficking in human beings, drugs and money laundering • Asylum and Migration

How much would it cost ? • TAIEX covers all the costs related to the provision of its assistance • TAIEX can consider the opportunity to co-organise events together with Institutional stakeholders and/or other donors • TAIEX can quickly deliver the requested assistance European Commission DG Enlargement Institution Building Unit

  9. TAIEX in Turkey Requests from Turkey: = 141 requests received in 2011. Total events 2011: = 120 study-visits/expert missions and workshops for Turkey. Justice and Home Affairs: = 50 events: data protection, regional courts of appeal, human rights, border management, combating organised crime, etc…

TAIEX workshops: December Workshop on Strengthening Cooperation between Turkey and EU in combatingirregular migration - 60 participants Workshop on Intellectual property crime with Europol/Interpol - 60 participants Workshop on Status/Selection of personnel for prisons and Probation - 100 participants Workshop on ARO – 80 participants
