  1. Friends of Children of Brevard Non-profit established in 1985 Mission: to improve the lives of the abused, neglected and abandoned children of Brevard County Vision: to help every child in Brevard County’s Guardian ad Litem program who is in need.

  2. What is Guardian ad Litem? • In the most basic terms a Guardian ad Litem it is a volunteer who represents the best interest of an assigned child • More information about the program can be found at http://www.gal.fl.gov/index.asp or on our project website http://geb3031spr09.weebly.com/ by clicking the Guardian ad Litem tab.

  3. How will we help Friends of Children of Brevard? • As a team we would like to host a softball tournament at Don “Mo” Stradley Memorial Park • We would like to donate $1500 to Friends of Children of Brevard (FCB) that will be generated by the softball tournament and related fundraising ventures.

  4. With entrance fees of $150-$200 and an expected turn out of 8 teams totaling up to $1200-$1600 minus an estimated $600 necessary cost to host the tournament we foresee the tournament bringing in $600-$1000 dollars

  5. Where are the additional funds coming from? • In addition to the softball tournament we plan on holding a raffle • Concessions at the game is also a potential income producer

  6. The Raffle • Tickets: $2 each or 3 for $5 • Potential winnings: The ideas we have come up with for prizes include: 4 tickets to a Tampa Bay Rays vs. Boston Red Sox game in Tampa, gift cards to places such as Beef ‘O’ Brady’s, Sports Authority or Dick’s, Planet Smoothie, and a spa.

  7. All the members of our team will be able to sell tickets beginning next week • We will have a location in which you can purchase tickets in the case you can not track down a group member. That information will be posted to our website under the raffle tab by the beginning of next week.
