  3. Meet at Patriots Point NO LATER than 8:45 AM on Saturday, December 12th! • We must go in as 1 group for orientation! • Travel on your own. • If you want to carpool set up now yourselves! • Seatbelt wear is mandatory!

  4. When you arrive you need to find Pack 205 near the ticketing area. There will be other Packs from Rock Hill there so be sure to get with our Pack immediately!

  5. If you are late or can’t make it for any reason…call me (Jim Smith) ASAP! 704-618-2226

  6. What to Bring: • Sleeping Bag & Pillow • COMFORTABLE Shoes • Uniforms with Pack T-shirt underneath • Toiletries & Towel • Camera • Money for snacks & Gift Shop • Clothes appropriate for weather Pack in a manner that is EASY to carry!

  7. We will sleep in heated sailors’ quarters on bunks with mattresses. Moms are in separate sleeping quarters. • Bathrooms and Showers are available. • We will eat lunch, dinner and Sunday breakfast on the Yorktown. • There is a Sunday service on the Yorktown we will attend.

  8. What NOT to Bring into Patriots Point: • Food or Drink (snack bar available) • Electronic games or Devices • Pets

  9. SAFETY is our number one priority! • There is ABSOLUTELY NO RUNNING in Patriots Point! The ships are made of steel and you will get hurt badly if you run and fall! Also the staff will remove you from Patriots Point. DON’T RUN! • Parents are responsible for their child! You will be able to freely explore the ships, etc. but need to be in tune to meeting times and places as a group.

  10. POD (Plan of the day): www.patriotspoint.org/group/camping/plan.html • This will give you information about the entire stay schedule and is posted by noon on the Thursday prior to our arrival.

  11. Tentative Schedule – Saturday 9am Check in and Orientation 9:15 Board boat to Fort Sumter 11:45 Lunch on fantail of Yorktown 5:30-6:05 Dinner Meal Call 7:10 Aviation Videos & Historic Trails Program 8:45 Mandatory Fire Drill 9:00 Movie 10:55 Tattoo 11:00 Taps

  12. Tentative Schedule - Sunday 6:00am Reveille 6:40 Meal Call 8:10 Church Call 9:00 Pack out but all Patriots Point open for touring 12:00 C.S.S Hunley Museum Tour (optional)

  13. Sunday (December 13th) Optional Activity: C.S.S. Hunley Museum nearby. $7.00 per person admission and guided tour. Reservations for Noon on Sunday. Please let me know if you plan to do this so I can get a solid headcount.

Directions to Patriots Point 40 Patriots Point Road, Mt Pleasant About 200 miles • I-77 South through Columbia • I-26 to Charleston • Take exit 220 to merge onto Septima Clark Expressway/US 17 North toward Mt Pleasant/Georgetown • Merge onto SC 703 East/W. Coleman Blvd via ramp to Sullivans Island • Turn Right at Patriots Point Road
