  2. Dulce Et Decorum Est Bent double, like old beggars under sacks,  Knock-kneed, coughing like hags, we cursed through sludge,  Till on the haunting flares we turned our backs  And towards our distant rest began to trudge.  Men marched asleep. Many had lost their boots  But limped on, blood-shod. All went lame; all blind;  Drunk with fatigue; deaf even to the hoots  Of tired, outstripped Five-Nines that dropped behind. Gas! Gas! Quick, boys! –  An ecstasy of fumbling,  Fitting the clumsy helmets just in time;  But someone still was yelling out and stumbling,  And flound'ring like a man in fire or lime . . .  Dim, through the misty panes and thick green light,  As under a green sea, I saw him drowning.  In all my dreams, before my helpless sight,  He plunges at me, guttering, choking, drowning. If in some smothering dreams you too could pace  Behind the wagon that we flung him in,  And watch the white eyes writhing in his face,  His hanging face, like a devil's sick of sin;  If you could hear, at every jolt, the blood  Come gargling from the froth-corrupted lungs,  Obscene as cancer, bitter as the cud  Of vile, incurable sores on innocent tongues,  My friend, you would not tell with such high zest  To children ardent for some desperate glory,  The old Lie; Dulce et Decorum est  Pro patria mori. Dulce Et Descorum Est basically means that it is good and right to die for your country.

  3. War By Anthony legge War is death War is sin, War is cruel In war, nobody wins! Tanks are engines of destruction Bombs scatter the human body and soul, Guns pump you full of lead And knives cut out the heart within. The Anti-Christ , Hitler started the war He ruled Germany with an iron hand, He murdered Jews by the millions Along with Gyspies and many others from foreign lands. Sleeping on the cold, hard ground Those brave men were tired and ill, Water and food were scarce And their energy very low. Always remember the sacifices that they made The hardships they had to endure, The bravery of all the soldiers, alive and dead, So we can live in peace for evermore!

  5. My Dear Friend By Kerry Williams My dear friend fell to the floor, With a bullet through his golden heart. He squealed with pain. Rolling around in the mud, My poor friend, someone save him! Trying hard not to cry. My friend, held his arms out to me. It was all over for him, What would I do without him? In a few seconds, he was gone. I trudges through the think mud, Still thinking about my friend. I will dearly miss him. He was a brave man. R.I.P, we will all miss you…

  6. WAR POEM By Daisy Bettesworth I toss and turn In my sheets, As the sun rises in the east, My heart is pounding, I know whats coming. Today I will be shot, By half-a-dozen beasts. Two hours later, I’m being ties to a post, I know that soon, all that will be left is my ghost. I know I’m a fool, For disobeying the rules But I can’t change my past. Men are lining up infront of me Loading up thir guns, I see them aiming at me, All I want to do is flee, And carry on life as normal. I am blindfolded. My mind starts to run through my whole life, All my memories flood into my mind Tears fall down my face I know this is it, I hear a shout, of a man The guns are loaded, Bang, Bang, Bang.

  7. Thank you
