  3. Site Supplies QA AIRMoN and NTN use about 281 buckets, bottles, & lids per week • 1 bucket checked for cleanliness per 47 shipped • 1 1-L bottle checked per 64 shipped • 1 250-mL bottle checked per 104 shipped • 1 lid check for 141 shipped

  4. Water left in the buckets and/or bottles should be discarded before using!

  5. Lid and bucket storage bags are checked for cleanliness • 1 bag checked per 140 used

  6. 50 and 150 mL volumes • 2 solutions used • DI water • Simulated Rainwater • Control limits/charts

  7. Additional Supplies that are Quality Assured • DI Water used for standards • Filters • Sample bottles Total of 20 different supply checks per week

  8. Internal Laboratory QA • Standardization of instruments • QA samples analyzed along with samples • Replicates • Internal Blind samples • Reanalysis • Random • IPD/CPD

  9. External Laboratory QA • Interlaboratory Comparisons • NWRI • NILU • USGS • WMO/GAW

  10. Conclusion: ~1% of supplies checked for cleanliness ~30% of analyses are QA samples
