The role of occupations in the skills supply and demand forecasts

This expert workshop explores the role of occupations in skills supply and demand forecasts. It discusses the use of occupations as inputs and results in forecasting, and highlights the importance of focusing on occupations in data collection and analysis. The workshop also covers the changing nature of sectors and the introduction of the NACE rev.2 and ISCO 08 classifications. It provides insights into employment shares by occupation in the EU-27 and offers two potential solutions for forecasting occupational trends.
