  2. Check Out These Easy Steps To Troubleshoot Email Problems Unable to send your emails? It can be really frustrating when you have some important work emails to send and your email is not working.

  3. 1. Reset email Password If you forgot your password or username, or you can’t sign in to your email account, follow these steps: • Click on ‘Forgot password’ while signing in to your email account. • You'll be asked some questions to confirm it's your account. Answer as best you can. • Follow the steps to recover your account. • Reset your password when prompted. • Choose a strong password that you haven't already used with this account.

  4. 2. Check attached email documents If you have any large attachment in the email, it may not get sent if the size exceeds max limit. Try these steps: • Upload the file to a server or cloud storage, and then mail the recipient a link to the file. • Resend the attachment in separate email account. e.g. if you were using outlook, now use Gmail/yahoo/other email. • Compress attachment size to a zip file and send it as attachment. • Maybeyou are running out of email capacity. Try deleting some emails before sending more. *The size limits for attachments vary depending on your email provider.

  5. 3. Check your Firewall settings If the email has an attachment containing elements that your firewall or Antivirus thinks may be harmful, then it might be blocking it from being sent. Try these steps: • Go to settings > disable firewall for sometime and then try sending the email. • Go to settings > disable Antivirus too and then try sending the email. • Set a new rule within the antivirus Firewall to add an exclusion for the Email app you use on your system. *If you need more information on how to add an exclusion for the email app in your antivirus, get in touch on our helpline for more details.

  6. 4. Check for DNS Issues • Check the following Event logs to see whether there are any recorded errors: • Application • System • DNS Server • Test by using nslookup query. • Open cmd > type - nslookup<client name> <server IP address> in cmd > Press Enter. • If the resolver returns a "Server failure" or "Query refused" response, the DNS server is possibly down. *In this case you need to get in touch with a professional helpline for solution.

  7. 5. Check SMTP authentication settings If You are using Outlook, follow these steps to enable SMTP Authentication if it is not enabled in settings: • From the Tools menu, choose "Accounts." • Select the "Mail" tab. • Double-click the Network Solutions' Mail account (e.g. mail.example.com) • Select the "Servers" tab. • Check the box next to "My Server Requires Authentication." • Select the "Advanced" tab. • In the Server Port Numbers section, modify "Outgoing mail (SMTP):" to "587". • Click "OK". *If you need more information on how to enable SMTP Authentication, get in touch on our helpline for more details.
