Make a difference by getting rid of your old smartphone. Programs like Cell Phones for Soldiers allow veterans and their families to remain in contact at no extra expense. This nonprofit veteran organization refurbishes donated phones and uses the proceeds to provide emergency financial assistance to veterans and to provide military personnel with international calling cards. Soldiers are not given cell phones directly by the organization. Contribute to the building of shelters for injured soldiers After the September, terrorist attacks, a nonprofit that help veterans called started constructing specially adapted houses for severely injured veterans.
