  2. Cardedeu is a village of Catalonia sited in Vallès Oriental region.

  3. Cardedeu has a population of 16,102 inhabitants. This village is surrounded by ranges of hills. The most important is the massif of Montseny. There is a stream in the middle of this village. In Cardedeu there is an architectural patrimony of the Middle and Modern ages.

  5. MEANS OF TRANSPORT Cardedeu has a train station. You can arrive at Barcelona by train in 40 minutes. Not all the trains stop at our village, only one train around each half an hour.

  6. SPORTS CENTRE In the sports centre children can practise different sports, as basketball, handball, karate, rhythmic gymnastics...

  7. SWIMMING POOL This is the municipal swimming pool of Cardedeu.

  8. FOOTBALL PITCH This is the football pitch of our village. It is made by artificial turf.

  9. THE STREAM This is the stream of Vallforners.It is in the middle of the village and sometimes there are ducks inside.

  10. PINETONS PARK This is a park where children play. There also are tables to have lunch.

  11. POMPEU FABRA In this park there are many swings. There is a basketball court too.

  12. JOAN ALZINA SQUARE This square is near our school. It is also called the Savings square.

  13. Museum This is the Tomàs Balvey Archive-Museum. There are many paintings exhibited here and a collection of old documents.

  14. Our library This is the library of Cardedeu. It is called Marc de Vilalba. Nowadays, it is under construction.

  15. Cardedeu Cultural Centre In the Cardedeu Cultural Centre we can see music shows, plays, films...

  19. This is our school. It was founded in 1934/1935 school year. So, this year we celebrate its 75th birthday. There are 2 buildings and a new sports centre. There are 435 pupils too.

  20. THE COUNCIL This is the Council of Cardedeu. The building was a summer Modernist villa built in 1890. It was called Torre Lligé.

  21. THE CHURCH This is the church of our village. It was built between 16th and 17th centuries. Nowadays it is restored.

  22. CREU DE TERME This is “Creu de terme” (Cross of jurisdiction). It is a monument sited in the entrance of Cardedeu and was erected in 1679.

  23. SANT CORNELI This is a chapel which was built in the 12thcentury. Nowadays, it is a place used for Art exhibitions and other local subject matters .

  24. Sant Hilari is a big place where people go to spend all day. There are a farmhouse and a hermitage built between the 16th and 17th centuries. There is also a forest. SANT HILARI

  25. SERRETA La Serreta is a hill on the outskirts of Cardedeu. There is a cross erected in 1929.
