RULES AND REGULATIONS PROGRAMMES • Start and finish as a team • Teams must travel only on the designated race course, except for Navigation • Race must be completed by going through all checkpoints in the correct sequence. Should team miss a component (ie. Kayaking, Skating etc) they must back-track to the missed check point • Official Race Card -> must be stamped/signed in and out at all checkpoints • Briefings conducted, be it of programmes nature or safety purposes, must be strongly adhered to

  16. AFTER RACE PROGRAMMES • End point: • Reporting • (all 4 members are to report to end point station together) • Collect goodie bag • Collect deposit-bag with Bag Tag • Prize Giving: 4pm

  18. TEAMS’ TIMING PROGRAMMES Top 3 teams per category will be release on the same day. The rest of the teams’ timing will be release on the website within 2 weeks after the event.

  19. BOTTLENECK PROGRAMMES • First-come-first-serve basis • Waiting Time • Up to discretion of Checkpoint ICs to allocate waiting times in the event of bottlenecks • Checkpoint ICs will sign over the amount of stop time given on the passport • Indicated in Official Race Card

WET WEATHER PROGRAMMES • Time freeze • Participants have to make their way to the next Checkpoint OR Wet Weather Checkpoint to wait for further instructions from officials • If the weather improve, race will resume • If bad weather persists, and no team has completed the race, all prizes will be donated to a charity of our choice.

  21. LOSS OF EQUIPMENT PROGRAMMES In the event that any of the equipment provided are lost/ damaged, participants are liable for the replacement/ repair of equipment.

  22. PRE-RACE PREPARATION SAFETY • MEDICAL CONDITIONS • Report any medical conditions or drug allergies • Serious medical condition requires doctor's letter • Bring along medication as advised by your doctor • Fill in medical condition slip and bring it to the race

  23. PRE-RACE PREPARATION SAFETY Safety Guidelines • Adequate rest prior to the race • Hydrate yourself regularly the day before the race, drink more if carbo-loading • Report any new, relevant information (ie injuries, medical conditions etc) • Inform your Next-of-Kin of this race

  27. WET WEATHER SAFETY • Before start of race: • Flag off will be postponed up to an hour max • If you wish to check the weather status, please call the safety ICs • During the race: • Go to the nearest station; await further instructions from the station ICs

RACE GUIDELINE SAFETY • Watch out for your own safety and those around you • The Organizing Committee reserves the right to stop, impose penalty or disqualify any individuals or teams that act in a manner putting themselves or others at risk • The Organizing Committee can also impose on a mandatory rest period for any team who they deem are not in a condition to carry on the race

  29. RACE GUIDELINE SAFETY • Stay together with your team • Do not deviate from route • Drink and eat regularly throughout the race • Wear covered shoes at all times • Observe traffic rules

  30. RACE GUIDELINE SAFETY • If you feel unwell, sound out to any helpers along the way • Safety team personnel are available at all stations • Water Points will be available along the racer route • 1st aid kits will be available at every station • Incident Reporting Flowchart

SAFETY (BIKING) SAFETY • Check if bike is in good working condition before embarking on journey • Ride at your comfortable speed, do not be pressured by other participants • Keep a safety distance from other bikers • Do not overtake if route is too narrow • Take extra care when riding on uneven or wet surfaces

SAFETY (KAYAKING) SAFETY • Check if kayak and paddles are in good condition • Ensure life-vest is working • Ensure life-vest is safely fastened before entering the kayak • Keep a safety distance from other sea users (windsurfers, power boats, swimmers) • Shout for ‘help’ in the event of an incident

SAFETY (SKATING) SAFETY • Check if skates are in working condition • Ensure elbow, knee and wrist guard are securely fastened before skating • Skate at you comfortable speed • Keep a safe distance from other park users • Do not overtake if route is too narrow • Take extra care when skating on uneven or wet surfaces

  35. SAFETY (NAVIGATION) SAFETY • Do not jaywalk, always use pedestrian crossing, overhead bridges • Do not trespass in forbidden areas • Take extra care when travelling on uneven/wet surfaces • Contact safety team should any incident happens
