Negatives • Smoking causes several types of cancer such as throat cancer, lung cancer, and tongue cancer. • Smoking also causes heart disease. • Smoking can lead to marital health issues and can even lead to, in some cases, divorce. If your parents find you smoking and you’re underage, you can be kicked out of your house. Smoking also hinders relationships because you are always itching for a smoke during dinners/when hanging out with your significant other and can be off-putting. • Smoking is extremely addictivedue to a substance called nicotine. • There are several chemicals in cigarettes. • Smoking makes you smell bad.

Benefits of Quitting • There are many benefits of quitting smoking. • Your lungs improve after you quit. • After 30 years of not smoking, your lungs are almost fully repaired. • You will find time and money to do other things, and you can indulge in new hobbies – that don’t involve smoking! • You will feel healthier in no time. • As tobacco is a gateway drug to other drugs such as marijuana which can lead to a plethora of other drugs, your life could be changed by smoking. If you quit smoking/never even start smoking, your life can improve.
