  11. FOCUSING THE STUDIO CAMERA Three steps to focusing • ZOOM IN ALL the way on your subject! • Focus the image using the Focus Ring • ZOOM OUT and compose your shot

  15. FEATURES OF THE STUDIO CAMERA Tripod and Dolly DOLLY – Supports the tripod and allows the camera to move on wheels around the studio.

  16. FEATURES OF THE STUDIO CAMERA Tilt Lock – Controls the up down motion of the camera. NEVER LET THE CAMERA GO! WHY?????? Tilt Lock

  17. FEATURES OF THE STUDIO CAMERA Pan Lock – Controls the left right motion of the camera. Use the camera arms. Pan Lock

  18. FEATURES OF THE STUDIO CAMERA Zoom Servo – Right camera arm, moves the zoom ring for you, more sensitive Video Return Servo Controls

  20. FEATURES OF THE STUDIO CAMERA Intercom = Listen!! ClearCOM – Allows the director to communicate with the crew in the studio

  22. THE COLOR OF LIGHT Splitting White Light Light comes into the lens and is separated into 3 primary colors and projected on three CCD’s

  24. FEATURES OF THE STUDIO CAMERA • Steps to white balance- • Make sure the camera is on and lights are turned on • Zoom in and focus on something at least 80% white • Flip the white balance button (under lens) • Check the viewfinder for “OK” Steps to White Balance

  25. FEATURES OF THE STUDIO CAMERA • Steps to black balance- • You don’t have to point the camera at something black • Flip the switch to black the iris will close • Check the viewfinder for “ok” Steps to Black Balance
